Hair-dos, swimming, fireworks, and prayer

Look at E's hair-do! Isn't she just too cute?!? E would barely let me brush her hair on Saturday morning, b/c she wanted her cousin R to fix it when we got to Grandma and Grandpa J's house. She sat perfectly still to let her fix her hair!

Grandpa J pulled out the kiddie pool for all five of the kiddos! We barbequed hamburgers and hotdogs, had rest/nap time and then let the kiddos have a fun time in this pool. They all fit, but barely!
Then, around dusk, we did some fireworks. These, my kiddos bought with their own money. We had a great 4th of July!

Sunday after church, a dear lady in our church fixed us an authentic Indian food meal. She fixed the food mild for us and we all enjoyed it so, so much. It was a great time.
After the meal, we sang a few hymns around the piano and then had a time of prayer. I feel so blessed to be a part of this family. The time of prayer was so real and touching and is the glue that seals us all together. We prayed for each of the children, specifically, and that God would keep us in His will! God has been so good to us!

Sunday evening all five kiddos stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while the four parents went out and just enjoyed time with each other. We ended up at our house playing on our Wii and then watched a movie. I'm not sure we had S and M home by curfew, but maybe it will be OK this once! We don't get to do this often and enjoyed our time together.
On Monday we went swimming at the water park! Everyone had a blast. I think I forgot to put sun block on my face and got a little bit of a burn. Most of it is gone today.

K wasn't too sure about the cold water at first. She did enjoy for a while, but then was done! She hates getting water splashed in her face! (Of course, so do I!)

My husband has been off for the last few days to spend time with his sister, brother-in-law and two nieces, as well as all of us. We have enjoyed the family time so much and will miss him being here all the time! He is such a wonderful husband and daddy!

Have a blessed day!
