Yee haw!
We went to the Mesquite Rodeo tonight. It was the first time my kiddos have been to a rodeo. They had a blast. All the food -- popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy. The kids loved seeing the cowboys riding the horses. They also had a really cool laser light show and fireworks! It was a fun time.

Happy 1st Birthday, K!
Happy 1st Birthday, K! Our little lady bug is turning one! I can't believe how the time has flew. I attempted to take a picture of her outfit. It has a number one on it in lady bug material that I used liquid stitch to put on, and then white ribbon edging it. The skirt has lady bug ribbon edging around the hem. We had a lady bug theme for the party!
K's small personal cake! I thought this turned out so cute!

Present time! She did have to have some help opening presents. She wanted to play with each one as she opens them instead of going on to the next one.

This is a ladybug overnight bag that K got. She loved rolling it around and she also carried the giftbag around.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear K, Happy Birthday to you!
K eating a cheeto puff! It's tradition for Grandpa J to give each grandchild a cheeto on their first birthday!

Jeep Rides And Train Tracks
We ate outside again tonight and then the kiddos played for a while. At one point, K walked over to C's jeep and pointed at it and was making a "Uhn, Uhn" sound with her voice. She was trying to get C's attention to take her for a ride. He rode her around some earlier in the afternoon. She sits in the floorboard and plays while he takes her around and around the yard. She really likes it!
C built a super long train track tonight! It starts in his room and stretches all the way to E's. He had enough track to loop it, so he can go all the way there and back continuously. We snapped a few pics, so that he can show it off. If he has his way, it will stay put together for a few days so he can show my niece and nepher who are coming down Saturday morning for K's b-day party. I told him good luck keeping K from messing it up!

On Tuesday night, we ate outside. C and E love to do this! We had been working on getting the backyard organized and cleaned up, so we just decided to eat out there too!
K loved being outside. I took these pics to show her at the picnic table. She had my husband put her up there and then just sat there for a really long time, just sitting! So, I just gave her food to her there and she was perfectly content eating it like that. She is getting so big! (She only fell off backwards once!)

After we finished eating, the kiddos played for a while. K found the slide and would crawl up it as far as she could and then slide back down to repeat again.
She also found the playhouse. And loved opening and closing the door, going in and out!

This is a picture of K's toe. She was in the kitchen on Tuesday afternoon and I was in the living room talking on the phone, when all of a sudden there was a crash and then K was screaming. She had opened a cabinet door and pulled out some bowls onto her toe. It took me a while to realize that she hadn't just scared herself. She screamed loudly for at least 45 minutes. Finally crying herself to sleep.

C's Academy Kid's Pre-K graduation
C had his Pre-K graduation today from Academy Kids. He started attending this Mother's Day Out right after he turned two. I still have his picture on his first day of school.
They had a rhyme that spelled out School Days.

E Falls Asleep In the Strangest Places
E falls asleep in the strangest places. She was sitting in the computer chair and the next thing I know she is asleep! At 10:40 a.m.! I couldn't even move her this time, b/c I had K asleep on my lap. E stayed in the chair, asleep, for about 45 minutes. She even woke up once, looked at me, talked to me, and then laid her head back again and went back to sleep. I tried to get her to move to the couch when she roused, but she would not. When K finally woke up, I did move E to the couch, then on to the van, all without waking her. She woke on the way to lunch and looked around and then asked where we were going! I was so glad I had my phone beside me so that I could snap a couple of pics.
This is after she woke up and then went back to sleep this way.
Here is a pic of my three kiddos all together. I love putting E and K in matching outfits!

Splash Day and Picnic
On Tuesday, C had a field trip with his Barn School class to the Splash Park in Forney. They played on the playground, splashed in the splash park, and had a picnic lunch. It was a fun day where us moms just got to sit and talk with each other while watching the kids play. They had so much fun and we were so grateful the rain stayed away for the day. Here are a few pics of C playing in the water.

E did have her bathing suit at one point. She took one run through the water, getting just a little wet, and decided it was too cold to play in the water. So, she played on the playground and just hung out with me, K, and the other moms.
Here is a sneak peek of C in his graduation gown for Academy Kids Mother's Day Out for his graduation on Friday. Doesn't he look so handsome? They took pics today and I was helping with them, so snapped this of C. I can't believe he is getting to be so grown up! Academy Kids graduation is on Friday at 10:30 a.m. I'm sure I will have lots more pics!
