Easter Egg Hunts, Parties, and Field Trips

Today was a fun day! It was the last day of MDO before Easter and Easter Egg Hunts, Parties, and a field trip (for C) were planned. I went loaded down with dozens of eggs!

E proudly showed me her basket of eggs that she had collected during the hunt. I was a little late to get pics of her finding the eggs, but she proudly showed me her very full basket.

Then, I took some pics of their party time of them eating pizza. They had a great time!

Next, C went on a field trip! They walked across the parking lot to Whattaburger. C was so excited to go. They have been learning about money and they got to order and pay themselves. They all felt like such big boys and girls! One of the dads that went snapped some pics for me (Thanks!).

Then, I made it outside to the playground for C's Easter Egg Hunt and snapped several pictures of them on the hunt. Their eggs were numbered and they had to search for eggs with "their" number on them. C's number was 15!

K got a bag with some Easter eggs and goodies in it. I gave them to her after we got home and she had a blast playing with them. Try as she might, she could not pick up more than two eggs --one in each hand-- at once. They had baby gold fish inside them, and she loved to shake them, just to hear the noise! She also tried to eat the egg, but gave up shortly, because she couldn't get it into her mouth.

Also, K has a new bottom tooth! She seems to be getting several within a short span of time.

One other thing-- I wanted to show you a pic of my class from MDO. My partner and I have seven babies rangeing in age from 12 months to 20 months in our class. We took them outside to hunt for eggs. A few brought baskets and so we took them along too. We trekked outside with one stroller, a wagon, and a few walking. Then we placed the eggs on top of the grass and told them to go get them. They each went to an egg. Some liked to throw them, to sit and just hold them, to pick one up --put it down--and go to the next one. They all had fun, though! I don't think any of them were looking at the camera in this picture.

Have a blessed day!

Our Last Day Of Vacation

Well, we are back home now. It feels so good to be home. The beds at the hotel were really comfortable, but there is nothing like your own bed.

We started off the morning with breakfast at the hotel, then packed up and left by 10:30 a.m. We spent a few hours at the Discover Science Center in Tyler, TX. It is an awesome place to visit. C, E, and K were entertained for hours and were upset when it was time to go. C and E got to cook for us, pilot a plane, doctor us in an ambulance, put on a puppet show, play in the sand, grocery shop and check us out, go through caves, be the captain of a ship, and many more things. They were not done playing! I took lots and lots of pics of everyone.

Then we headed home after grabbing a quick bite of lunch. We made a pitstop in Terrell at the outlet stores. I wanted to run in a few. Of course, I found some great deals!

Now, we are home, have unloaded and are ready for a restful evening! Think we'll get it? Maybe after the kiddos are in bed!

Have a blessed day!

Vacation -- Day 3

This morning we had breakfast at the hotel and then dressed for church. We visited Whitehouse Assembly Of God Church where some friends of ours pastor. We had lunch with them and had a nice visit.

After lunch, it was on to Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, TX. Everyone had a blast. We walked the whole zoo. C took in his digital camera and was taking pictures as he went along, too.

We saw elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, lions, and a wide variety of other animals.

The Wild Bird Walkabout was fun. We bought food sticks to feed the birds. You hold them out from you and a bird will land on your food stick and eat. E is terrified most of the time. She wants to feed them, but doesn't want to let them get close enough to land. I finally got one to land on her stick and for her to stay still enough.

This was K's first time in a place like this. She tried to catch them and chase after them. I had a very friendly bird land on me. He tried to eat my jacket, walked up and down my arms, went on to K's leg, and even went into my pocket to see what he could find. He even tried to go out with me. I had to have my husband make sure he wasn't on me when we left.

Then, after a bite of supper at the hotel, we went to the swimming pool again. I snapped some more pics of us playing around. K has decided she only wants to be in the hot tub. The other is too cold for her. And the pool is cold. It is almost too cold for me. You have to keep swimming to warm up. E likes to go back and forth between the two. And C like to stay in the regular pool. We have thourougly enjoyed the pool this trip.

Have a blessed day!

Vacation -- Day 2

We are now on day two of our vacation. This morning, we got up, got around, had breakfast at the hotel and then headed to Shreveport, LA. We went to the Sci-Port Center. It is similar to the Science Place. Since we are members at the Science Place, we could get in free to the Sci-Port.

It was super fun. All of us had a blast doing the different science experiments, just seeing if we could get them to do what they were supposed to do. I took lots of pics and will have them uploaded to Picasa. I will change the slideshow to vacation pics as soon as I get them uploaded. That way you can see all of the pics!

After we finished at the Sci-Port we decided to go get some lunch. We went to the El Dorado Casino. And NO! we didn't go near those slot machines! Just to the buffet. And what a buffet it was! We actually got their Saturday brunch that goes until 3 p.m., so we could chose between breakfast, cajun, mexican, asian, fruit/salads, and desserts of all kinds! It was a huge buffet area! Of course, I did get off my diet just a little bit. I had some rice and then I just had to sample a little of the dessert. They had peanut butter pie! This is my favorite!!!! Yummy! I guess I'll have to do some extra areobics tonight, huh?

Then, we stopped by Wal-mart. We always seem to forget something. Now, we're back at the hotel. Just hanging out and trying to relax. We may do some swimming tonight.

Stay tuned for Vacation Day 3!

Have a blessed day!

On Vacation

We are on vacation! We finally made it here. We left as soon as I got home from MDO today and headed for our destination!

C and E are so excited to stay in a hotel. They could not wait for this family vacation to get here. I think they would be just fine to go back and forth between the room and the swimming pool. Yes, we specifically got a hotel with an indoor swimming pool. If it did not have one, we would have been in big trouble.

We arrived, unloaded our van, and then went in search of a restaurant to eat at. We had Chinese. It was great!

Then, we came back to the hotel to swim. I snapped several pictures of all of us. We brought a baby swim float for K. Now, she hates to take a bath, but loved this. She sat there the whole time and just watched all of us playing around. It was nice because we had the whole pool to ourselves, most of the time.

E took to the water so well! She has never had swim lessons, but as long as she had that swim ring on, she could get where she wanted to go.

C loved pulling K around. He would grab ahold and off they'd go. And K really liked it too.

The water was a little chilly at first and took some getting used to. After we had been in about 45 minutes, K got cold and her bottom lip started quivering. My husband had already been in the hot tub, and said it was cool enough that he thought K could get in it. So, K and I got in. She loved it. You could tell, because she started jabbering away after just a bit and really enjoyed it more.

Now everyone is in bed. I'm just about to head that way, when I finish this. I snapped this pic of my husband and E a bit ago. Since we are staying several nights, everyone will get a turn to sleep where they want to.

I will try to post more pics from our day tomorrow. I'm sure it will be a great day filled with lots of fun.

Have a blessed day!

Bluebonnet Pictures

Here are a few pics of C, E, and K in the bluebonnets. We went and took pics in a field of bluebonnets on Monday. I've always thought they would make pretty pictures, but have never done them before.

I think they turned out great. I love the one of the three of them together. Thanks so much to my friend Susie for taking them! Her website is http://www.adorablephotography.com/. She does such an awesome job!

The last few days

I have been super busy the last several days and haven't had time to add some of the pics that I have taken. We are going out of town for a few days for a family vacation. I have been packing and gathering stuff all day today.

Tuesday morning, I snapped this pic of C and E. When E wakes up, she usually hollers for me to come up and get her. C will come down by himself. When she hollered Tuesday morning, I hear C telling her to just come on down to his room and she could sleep with him. I think that he thought it was still night time. When I went up to see what they were up to, they were "sleeping" in C's bed! Playing would be the more appropriate term. They tried to tell me that they were asleep, but I didn't buy it!

This is a pic of C at Barn School. They are learning to read and he is doing so good! They are starting to sound out words and put together the blended sounds they have learned.

Then, I snapped this pic of K at a restaurant. She went with me to Buca di Beppo for a baby shower. It went a little past her bed time, but she did really good. She sure did enjoy the bread!

Well, that's it for now. I'll be sure to post lots of pics of our vacation!

Have a blessed day!
